Money Flow Index: The Volume-Weighted Momentum
The Core Idea: MFI is often called “Volume-Weighted RSI.” It uses both price and volume to identify buying and selling pressure.
Mastering the Signal: Like RSI, it uses 80/20 levels. A move above 80 with high volume suggests a top is near.
Survivor’s Edge: Because it includes volume, MFI is much harder to “fake” than RSI. If MFI is dropping while price is still rising, the “Smart Money” is leaving the building.
